Purdue vs. Wisconsin prediction & betting tips - October 5 | College Football Week 6

The Purdue Boilermakers head to Camp Randall Stadium on Saturday afternoon to take on the Wisconsin Badgers in conference action. This will be an intriguing Big Ten matchup between two teams that have not been able to get going to begin the season.

The Boilermakers (1-3, 0-1 Big Ten) are on a three-game losing streak after winning the season opener. They struggled as they are coming off Saturday's 28-10 home loss against the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Senior quarterback Hudson Card had an OK game as he went 18 of 25 for 174 yards with a touchdown pass and an interception.

The Badgers (2-2, 0-1) are on a two-game losing streak themselves and are coming off a 38-21 road loss against the USC Trojans on Saturday. Sophomore quarterback Bredyn Locke was not able to get much going in the game as he finished 13 of 26 for 180 yards with a touchdown pass and an interception.

Purdue vs. Wisconsin prediction

With the sudden departure of running back Chez Mellusi from the program for Wisconsin, they are going to have a bit of a struggle at figuring out the running game. With the Boilermakers allowing just 153.5 passing yards per game thus far, it will be difficult to see Purdue losing by multiple touchdowns in this game.

The Badgers offense is still going to be able to score, though, as after the last two games being against the Alabama Crimson Tide and USC Trojans defense, this should be a lot better for Wisconsin's offense to get points on the board and reach 30 points.

Purdue running back Devin Mockobee can find the end zone in this game. He scored a touchdown against Oregon State two weeks ago, and that is the only time he has scored a touchdown this year. With 14.5 rushing attempts in the last two games and the ability to be targeted more in this game, expect him to get goal-line touches and score in this game.

Purdue vs. Wisconsin betting tips

Tip 1: Purdue Boilermakers +13.5 (-112)

Tip 2: Wisconsin Badgers Over 29.5 Points (-120)

Tip 3: Devin Mockobee Anytime TD (+165)
