He is also a former college football player for the Ohio State Buckeyes of the Big Ten Conference. However, he stayed there for only one season, and after the end of the 2021 season, he transferred to the Texas Longhorns in 2022.

Quinn Ewers set the record for the most passing yards in a single conference championship game for the Big 12 Conference and was named the MVP for his performance in 2023. He was a semifinalist for both the Davey O’Brien Award and the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award. Ewers' 3,479 passing yards in the season were the fifth-most in a season in UT history, while his 272 completions ranked sixth.

Ohio State Buckeyes (2021 - 2022)

Quinn Ewers became a college student at the Ohio State University in August of 2021. He also joined the Ohio State Buckeyes football team in college. He spent the time practicing with the team during the training camp before the 2021 season started. On November 20, 2021, he contributed two snaps for his team in a game against the Michigan State Spartans. This helped the team defeat the Michigan State Spartans with a score of 56-7. Quinn Ewers decided to transfer to Texas in December 2021.
