College football analyst Robert Griffin III name the five college football teams that he believes are on the rise. As the 2024 season enters Week 4, fans have a general idea of how each team is performing and their potential for the season.

Through three weeks, some teams have surprised and outperformed their expectations. Heading into Week 4, Griffin III took to X to name his top-five teams on the rise.

#5. UCF Knights

Robert Griffin III has the UCF Knights as his fifth-ranked team on the rise.

UCF is 3-0 this season and coming off a road win over TCU in Week 3. It was a statement win for the Knights as transfer quarterback KJ Jefferson threw for three touchdowns in the win.

UCF is on a bye and plays Colorado in Week 5.

#4. Kansas State Wildcats

The Kansas State Wildcats are 3-0 this year and are ranked 13th in the nation. Kansas State did face a scare against Tulane in Week 2 but rallied to get the win.

Kansas State goes on the road to play BYU on Saturday at 10:30 EDT. The Wildcats are one of the frontrunners to win the Big 12.

#3. Nebraska Cornhuskers

The Nebraska Cornhuskers look like the real deal, and Robert Griffin III has them as his third-best team on the rise this season.

Nebraska has been trying to turn the corner for years, and the Cornhuskers got over one major hump by beating Colorado. Nebraska is 3-0 and hosts Illinois on Friday night.

If the Cornhuskers can beat Illinois on Friday, Nebraska will go into their game against Ohio State on Oct. 26 undefeated.

#2. Miami Hurricanes

The Miami Hurricanes appear to be back.

Miami is 3-0 and set to go on the road to play South Florida on Saturday. The Hurricanes started the year with a blowout win over Florida. Miami is now one of the favorites to win the ACC.

#1. Tennessee Volunteers

The Tennessee Volunteers are Griffin III's top-ranked team on the rise, as the Vols are a legit playoff contender.

Tennessee is off to a 3-0 start but has a tough road test in Week 4 against Oklahoma. The Vols are looking to prove they are the real deal in Week 4.
