South Alabama vs. LSU football history, records and more ahead of Week 5 CFB matchup
Week 5 brings a first for the SEC's LSU as the Tigers clash with the South Alabama Jaguars for the first time in school history. The Sun Belt team has never played against LSU, and Week 5 brings a difficult first-ever trip to Death Valley.
It's definitely a tale of two very different schools. The Jaguars' greatest claim to success is the four NFL draft picks that have been produced. Compare that to LSU's 381 draft picks, 52 of those first-rounders, three Heisman winners, 41 All-Americans, and four national championships.
As expected, the Tigers are the favorites to win by a big margin. ESPN's predictor has a 78.4% chance of winning the game, while ESPN Bet has LSU as 20.5 point favorites.
