Texas HC Steve Sarkisian once shared how wife Loreal Sarkisian helped him rebuild confidence: "She is that person"
Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian is among the most talked-about coaches in the nation presently. This is owing to the Longhorns' first year in the Southern Eastern Conference as well as the news of his divorce from Loreal Sarkisian.
Sarkisian and Loreal tied the knot four years ago, in the year 2020, just before he signed the contract with the Longhorns in 2021.
The couple has been one of the most loved ones in the college football world, owing to Loreal's stunning game-day fits and regular appearances at matches.
In an interview with 'The Pivot', Steve Sarkisian opened up about his wife's support during tough times in his career and what it means to him:
“She is that person, the reality of it is, there were things in my life that, shoot, I had to get reconnected to the Lord and she helped me do that. I had to find my own self-confidence again. Anytime you get fired, I don’t care what industry you’re in, you lose some of that confidence.
"It’s like, how do you find it again? How do you recreate it again? And she was the one who kept reminding me. She was the one when jobs would come up, she’d say, ‘I don’t think that’s the one, I think you’re better than that.’ And I was like, ‘Wow. OK. Alright.’ I needed some of that to build my own self-confidence.”
Who is Steve Sarkisian's ex-wife Loreal Sarkisian?
During their four years of marriage, Loreal Sarkisian was named the 'First Lady of Texas Football'.
She offered her love and support to the Longhorns every chance she got while also excelling in her own career.
Loreal works as a wardrobe stylist. She has often shown her interests in the fashion industry by attending many shows with big banner names like Balmain, Givenchy and many more.
Loreal received the most admiration for her chic outfits, especially in the 2024 college football season. That year, she rocked many designer ensembles like a white and blue look paired with a D&G bag worth over $3000.
During her college days, Loreal was a track star. She clocked 13 seconds in the 100-meter hurdle and competed to qualify for the Olympics in 2012. Later, she also coached at the Southern California University.
