Texas QB Arch Manning embraces 7X Super Bowl champ Tom Brady's fiery speech at Patriots' Hall of fame induction
7X Super Bowl champion Tom Brady gave a 20-minute speech on Wednesday as he was inducted into the Patriots Hall of Fame. Texas Longhorns QB Arch Manning shared a clip from the speech to his Instagram story the next day.
In the clip, Brady encouraged everyone to play football due to its difficulty and the lessons it will impart.
"I encourage everyone to play football, for the simple reason that it is hard. It's hard when you're young to wake up in the offseason to wake up at 6 am and go workout, knowing that all your friends are sleeping in and eating pancakes.”
“It's hard to throw, catch, block and tackle, and hit kids when they're way bigger and way more developed than you, only to go home that night bruised and battered and strained, but knowing that you have to show up again the next day for just the chance to try again. But understand this, life is hard."
Tom Brady honored his children in the Hall of Fame speech
Brady gave a special shout-out to his kids: Jack, Benjamin, and Vivian. He expressed his profound love for them, saying:
"Your dad loves you more than anything in this world. Your smiles outshine the morning sun. And where I live now, that's a pretty brilliant sun. There's no greater joy than watching the three of you grow and teach me things on your way to becoming incredible young adults."
Brady also shared his fondness for the relationship he built with the Patriots.
"Relationships are built on shared experiences, and the most meaningful things in my life are my relationships. I wish I had more time. I wish I had more time to give you all. So, how do I sum up two decades in New England in one short speech? The answer is simple: You can't."
His entire speech was a huge tribute to football and everyone who contributed to his success. He showed gratitude toward his family, coaches, teammates, the team's kitchen staff, and even the people who cleaned their locker rooms.
