"Thamel ruined Moore’s big moment man": CFB fans call out insider Pete Thamel for spoiling Dakorien Moore's commitment announcement

The world of college football recruiting took an interesting turn with a major saga unfolding on Thursday night. Nation's top wide receiver of Class of 2025, Dakorien Moore, announced he would officially make his decision via Instagram Live. However, things did not go the way anybody expected.

ESPN's Pete Thamel posted a tweet declaring that Dakorien Moore would be heading to the University of Oregon 30 minutes before the five-star wide receiver was going to announce his college decision.

His choice was down between the LSU Tigers, Oregon Ducks, Texas Longhorns and Ohio State Buckeyes. Thamel quickly took the tweet down, hyping up Dakorien Moore's announcement.

Where did Dakorien Moore announce he would be playing college football?

Dakorian Moore originally committed to the LSU Tigers in August 2023 but backed off of the verbal agreement this spring. He told On3's Hayes Fawcett on Wednesday that the announcement would be in 24 hours and he will announce it on his Instagram Live that he is officially shutting down his recruiting after the decision.

His mother, Marjahn, made sure to let it be known that she wanted him to choose the Texas Longhorns.

"Texas is home. I was born and raised in Austin, Texas. I only bleed two colors. Orange and Blue. Burnt Orange for Texas and blue for the Dallas Cowboys. That's all I knew growing up. As soon as he started taking college visits I took him to Austin." h/t On3

However, Dakorien Moore announced he is going to be playing for the Oregon Ducks, confirming the Pete Thamel report.
