"They came out spoke to my family": Travis Hunter reveals how $23.4 billion sneaker giant became his perfect brand partner
Travis Hunter, the two-way star from Colorado, signed a new deal with Adidas. Despite playing for a team and under Coach Prime, both signed by Nike, Hunter joined the Three Stripes alongside Cameron Ward, quarterback for Miami. Projected to be one of the top picks in the NFL 2025 Draft, Hunter will don Adidas with Kansas City Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes.
In a recent episode of "The Travis Hunter Show", uploaded Dec. 19, Hunter talked about why the $23.4 Billion (as per Forbes) sneaker giant was successful in signing the budding wide receiver:
"You know, I'm not signing nothing that ain't got no family involved. They involve my family...And once you do that, and once you keep that connection, we had a connection for a while. we was talking with the family
"They always came out and showed me love, no matter what, no matter what they heard from any other team that was trying to get to me. They kept it, you know, as a family type of business. And we still work as a family. I love the Adidas family. They came out spoke to my family, spoke to me. And they had to add Travers in the deal. It's got to be right with Travers in it." Hunter added.
Hunter has amassed 1,152 yards and 14 touchdowns in 92 receives as a wide receiver and has clocked 31 total tackles with 11 passes defended as a cornerback for Colorado. He was named the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year.
With the Alamo Bowl against BYU Cougars coming, Travis Hunter must be focusing on going out on a high note but that has become very difficult for the #12 Colorado star because of the ongoing controversy involving him and his fiancee Leanna Lenee just after the Heisman.
Dez Bryant and Shedeur Sanders speak up supporting Travis Hunter after new clips of Leanna surface online
After Leanna's 8-minute TikTok upload, many netizens called her out regarding her statement that portrayed Hunter as to be a "cheater". Now fans have uploaded new clips online trying to insinuate that Leanna was the one cheating.

The first clip involves her, in a schoolgirl outfit, twerking on one man and the other is from the music video "Late Night" by Knotti $lim, uploaded three years ago and is still up on his YouTube channel. Travis and Leanna have been dating for five years and thus fans feel something is off.
After the music video clip went viral, Dez Bryant, former Cowboys and Ravens wide receiver, weighed in on the matter in tweets.
"I've tried my best not to get into Travis' business... but i had to after seeing this... I'm here to tell you, brother... wake up and quit playing. She talked all that s**t about you.., saying she was going to address the situation once, but kept talking about it...She loves the attention way more than you..." Bryant said.
In addition to saying she's not the one, Dez added:
"I have not seen any hate tweets about Travis; people are concerned because he's a unique individual. You can tell he’s a great person.. people don’t want to see him f***ed up...I bet the stats on black male athletes in relationships with unqualified women are horrible....I wish people spoke loudly like this when I was playing..."
Hours after these clips surfaced, the #12 Colorado star deactivated his Instagram account. Seeing the outrage, Shedeur Sanders, the Colorado QB and Hunter's teammate, tweeted out:
"All y’all athletes, entertainers, artist etc if y’all genuine trying to holla at trav y’all know how to get in touch with him or someone around. At this point y’all just posting for the algorithm trying to look cool."
It will be tough for Travis Hunter to handle all this outrage and focus on his upcoming Bowl game.
