Top 10 Big 12 players with the highest NIL valuations ft. Shedeur Sanders
College football has undergone a series of seismic shifts, and the Big 12 is in the middle of it. With NIL increasingly defining college sports, On3 has come up with a NIL estimation system.
Here are the top 10 Big 12 players with the highest NIL valuations based on On3's information.
Top 10 Big 12 players with the highest NIL valuations
#10. Justin Flowe, Arizona LB
A highly-regarded recruit, Flowe transferred from Oregon to Arizona. While his production has been ho-hum, he has tons of potential. Flowe has 93 career tackles but just one QB sack. On3 projects him at a NIL value of $647,000.
#9. Wyatt Milum, West Virginia OT
One of two linemen on this list, Milum is an experienced player. He's started 32 games at West Virginia and started at left tackle for the last two seasons. An honorable mention All-American a year ago, Milum's NIL value was estimated at $652,000.
#8. Ollie Gordon, Oklahoma State RB
Gordon might be the bargain of this list. Last season, he rushed for 1,732 yards and 21 touchdowns for the Cowboys. He also caught 39 passes for 330 more yards. He's a solid All-American, a possible Heisman candidate, and is valued at just $662,000 in the NIL valuations.
#7. Tetairoa McMillan, Arizona WR
A standout receiver, McMillan is another player whose NIL value is surprisingly low. Last year, the 6-foot-5 pass catcher snagged 90 passes for 1,402 yards and 10 touchdowns. Another potential All-American, McMillan's valuation feels like a bargain at $676,000.
#6. Donovan Smith, Houston QB
Smith transferred in from Texas Tech and passed for 2,801 yards and 22 touchdowns last season. He also rushed for 428 yards and six more touchdowns. Houston is expected to finish near the bottom of the Big 12, but Smith's NIL valuation of $685,000 is impressive.
#5. Noah Fifita, Arizona QB
Fifita is the top non-Colorado player on the list. Despite being 5-foot-11, Fifita's play has stood tall at Arizona. Last year, as a redshirt freshman, he threw for 2,869 yards and 25 touchdowns. That's not bad for a quarterback who took over as the starter in Week 5. Fifita's high potential jumps his NIL value to $712,000.
#4. Jordan Seaton, Colorado OT
Seaton fulfills a massive Colorado need as a freshman. Perhaps the nation's top offensive tackle prospect, his NIL valuation of $834,000 is particularly astonishing for a true freshman.
#3. Shilo Sanders, Colorado S
Sanders was a decent player at South Carolina, but he transferred to Colorado to play for his dad. A year ago, he had 70 tackles, a pick-six interception and four forced fumbles. His NIL value is $1 million.
#2. Travis Hunter, Colorado DB/WR
Hunter is a potential All-American defensive back who happens to also be a brilliant receiver. Last season, he caught 57 passes for 721 yards and five scores on offense and made 30 tackles and three picks on defense. His On3 NIL valuation of $2.7 million is the third-highest in all of college football.
#1. Shedeur Sanders, Colorado QB
Perhaps the most-hyped player in college football, Sanders had a big season at Colorado while playing for his father. A year ago, he threw for 3,230 yards and 27 touchdowns against just three interceptions in 430 passes. He'll doubtlessly have a big season and be the focus of plenty of on-field and off-field talk. His NIL valuation of $4.7 million tops not just the Big 12 but all of college football in On3's rankings.
