The incoming first-year college football offensive lineman class, tasked with protecting some of the top quarterbacks in the nation, is loaded with talent.
As the 2024 college football season quickly approaches, the incoming freshmen are beginning to settle into their new teams. Here is a look at 10 of the top freshmen offensive linemen to watch out for this season.

Top 10 freshman OL to watch out for during the 2024 college football season
#10. Grant Brix, Nebraska
Logan, IA native Grant Brix will be joining Matt Rhule's Nebraska Cornhuskers as a four-star recruit in the class of 2024. He has excellent movement and footwork for a long 6'6", 290-pound frame. He plays best in a run-heavy offense due to his ability to get to the second level and finish off blocks.
#9. Eugene Brooks, Oklahoma
Four-star recruit chose to commit to Oklahoma over Texas this season as a top-100 college football national recruit in the class of 2024.
The 6'3", 334-pound interior lineman lost over 60 pounds, allowing for a massive improvement in his movement on the field. Brooks played mostly at left tackle as a senior in high school but will likely earn most of his playing time at guard at the college level.
#8. Casey Poe, Alabama
Casey Poe will be playing his freshman season under Kalen DeBoer with the Alabama Crimson Tide. The four-star recruit from Lindale, TX, possesses great movement and strength for a 6'4.5", 290-pound frame.
He played most on the left side of the line in high school and excels in the run game with an aggressive blocking style.
#7. Weston Davis, LSU
LSU recruit Weston Davis didn't start playing football until his sophomore year of high school, but is still ranked as the sixth OT in the class of 2024 by On3. Davis impressed on the hardwood as a dominant basketball player in high school as well, giving him an outstanding footwork and movement skillset.
Being newer to the sport, he still has a long way to go in his development for college football level, but he has tremendous upside.
#6. Kevin Heywood, Wisconsin
The towering 6'7", 295-pound Kevin Haywood is the fifth-ranked tackle by On3 in the college football class of 2024. The Royerford, PA native received offers from a number of Big Ten schools, including Michigan, Rutgers, Penn State, Michigan State, and Nebraska, before committing to Wisconsin.
Haywood has massive size on the offensive line, but he moves extremely well and uses it to his advantage. He played tackle on both sides of the offensive line in high school and is a physical blocker with the ability to get to the second level while opening up gaps in the run game.
#5. Cooper Cousins, Penn State
Penn State IOL Cooper Cousins is a top-50 national college football recruit in the class of 2024 by On3 and the top recruit from the state of Pennsylvania. He earned an invite to play in the All-American Bowl and the Hawaiian Bowl and won the district title as a senior.
His 6'6", 320-pound frame makes him a large and physical interior presence with a diverse skillset. His strength and flexibility make him a huge asset in the run game, and he also offers the Nittany Lions the choice to play him at guard or tackle.
#4. Guerby Lambert, Notre Dame
Tackle Guerby Lambert is a five-star recruit by On3 and chose to commit to Notre Dame over Boston College, Harvard, and Ohio State. He has prototypical size for a tackle at 6'6", 290 pounds and worked mostly on the right side of the offensive line in high school.
Lambert's arm length measured 34 inches ahead of his senior season, allowing him to use that length to leverage defenders.
#3. Josiah Thompson, South Carolina
Four-star college football recruit Josiah Thompson is the 36th-ranked national player in the class of 2024. He received offers from top programs including Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, Notre Dame, and Oklahoma before ultimately committing to South Carolina.
His size and length are ideal for a tackle, and he plays with a unique combination of quickness and flexibility.

#2. Brandon Baker, Texas
Mater Dei High School recruit Brandon Baker is the second-ranked OT in the college football class of 2024 by On3. The right tackle will join the offensive line at Texas that includes one of the top left tackles in the country, Kelvin Banks Jr.
Baker is a two-time All-American and anchored an offensive line in high school that averaged 140 rushing yards per game in 2023.
#1. Jordan Seaton, Colorado
Top-ranked OT recruit in college football, Jordan Seaton, is a five-star recruit from IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL. Seaton received 33 offers from top college programs but has decided to join Deion Sanders at Colorado.
He has a college football-ready skillset with the ideal length and size for a tackle. He mostly plays left tackle but has experience playing guard as well.
