Top 10 SEC players with the highest NIL valuations ft. Arch Manning
With the 2024 SEC college football season inching closer, it's time to talk about NIL. The good folks at On3.com have long prepared and maintained an estimated NIL valuation. While it's certainly not to be taken as gospel, it's a pretty solid representation of the NIL value of athletes.
10 SEC football players with highest NIL valuations
10. Luther Burden, Missouri WR
Burden is valued at $769,000 for NIL purposes by On3. He's a likely All-American receiver. In two seasons of college, Burden has caught 131 passes for 1,587 yards and 15 touchdowns. He added two more rushing scores in 2022. Burden could be a Heisman contender this year.
9. Brady Cook, Missouri QB
Not to be a spoiler, but all of rest of these players are QBs. Cook's NIL value is rated at $861,000 by On3. The senior Mizzou QB has been a two-year starter. He has passed for 6,716 yards and 39 touchdowns, leading the Tigers to an 11-2 mark last season.
8. Garrett Nussmeier, LSU QB
Nussmeier's NIL valuation is estimated at $929,000. The junior QB has thrown just 219 college passes. He will now take over the role as a starter after Jayden Daniels' move to the NFL. Nussmeier has thrown for 1,720 yards and 11 touchdowns.
7. DJ Lagway, Florida QB
Slotted as a likely backup behind veteran Graham Mertz, Lagway was a top freshman prospect. Without even throwing a single collegiate pass, his NIL valuation was placed at $1 million by On3.
6. Nico Iamaleava, Tennessee QB
A redshirt freshman, Iamaleava has thrown just 45 college passes, but his NIL value is projected at $1.2 million. The passer threw for 314 yards and two scores, with most of his playing time coming in the Citrus Bowl.
5. Jaxson Dart, Ole Miss QB
The trigger man of Ole Miss's high-powered offense is worth an NIL estimate of $1.3 million per On3. Dart, who transferred from USC after his freshman season, has passed for 7,691 yards and 52 collegiate touchdowns.
4. Carson Beck, Georgia QB
Beck had not seen much time before last season, but he threw for 3,941 yards and 24 scores then. On3 evaluated Beck's NIL value at $1.4 million. Beck is an early Heisman Trophy front runner.
3. Quinn Ewers, Texas QB
A two-year starter at Texas, Ewers was valued at $1.7 million for NIL purposes by On3. He's thrown for 5,656 yards and 37 touchdowns in his Texas career. Getting Longhorns to the College Football Playoff a year ago was probably a boost for Ewers' NIL value.
2. Jalen Milroe, Alabama QB
Milroe just edged out Ewers for second place, posting his own $1.7 million On3 NIL estimate. Milroe, like Carson Beck, hadn't really played much before 2023. He passed for 2,834 yards and 23 touchdowns while rushing for another 531 yards and 12 touchdowns. Milroe is another solid Heisman candidate.
1. Arch Manning, Texas QB
Surprisingly, the leader in SEC NIL valuations is a backup QB with just five career collegiate passes attempted. Manning, who is the next heir to the family tradition of generating QBs, is valued at $3.1 million by On3, second only to Shedeur Sanders in NCAA football totals. Will Manning see more clock in 2024? If he did, it certainly would skyrocket this value.
