#10 Miami

Mario Cristobal's team is stacked at receiver. The Hurricanes have as good a one-two pair as any in the nation in Xavier Restrepo (1,092 yards) and Jacolby George (864 yards). Houston transfer Samuel Brown could help and a group of talented freshmen could make a splash as well.

#9 Kentucky

Barion Brown (539 yards) is the speedster and Dane Key (636 yards) is the red zone threat. Add in North Texas transfer Ja'mori Maclin and Kentucky has an impressive starting group. A lack of depth is the only reason the Wildcats aren't capable of rising even higher in this ranking.

#8 Notre Dame

The Irish return tight end Mitchell Evans, one of the best in the nation, but then added to that with a couple of big portal additions. FIU transfer Kris Mitchell has a big-play history and Clemson transfer Beaux Collins should be a Day 1 standout. The depth is solid, with a group of highly-touted young receivers waiting to make a splash.

#7 Colorado

Coach Prime has some legitimate receivers at Colorado. They returned Travis Hunter (721 yards) and Jimmy Horn (567 yards). But Colorado then dug in within the portal and added Vandy standout Will Shepherd and FAU star LaJohntay Wester. This is as good of a core of receivers as will be found in the nation.

#6 USC

This is largely a young and untested group of star wideouts. Zachariah Branch has big-play skills and Duce Robinson is one of those tighe end/receiver hybrids who can wreak havoc over the middle. True frosh Xavier Jordan is a playmaker as well. USC's talent factor is off the board, even thought they lack for experience.

#5 Oklahoma

The Sooners return Nic Anderson (798 yards) and Jalil Farooq (694 yards). Then they added Deion Burks from Purdue, who is a quick-as-lightning playmaker. Some talented true freshmen who might be ready to go just add to the intrigue factor with this group.

#4 Missouri

Returning star Luther Burden is the big name here (1,212 yards last year). But Mizzou has plenty more-- Theo Wease (682 yards) and Mookie Cooper (447 yards) are both back. Marquis Johnson (383 yards) could explode in his sophomore season. There's a ton of returning talent here for the Tigers.

#3 Ole Miss

A one-two wide receiver punch of Jordan Watkins (741 yards last year) and Tre Harris (985 yards) is already massive. But add in transfer Juice Wells (928 yards in 2022) from South Carolina and Ole Miss has weapons aplenty. There's a ton of depth behind them, albeit nobody with the kind of experience of this big three.

#2 Oregon

Tez Johnson exploded a year ago (1,182 yards). Transfer Traeshon Holden (452 yards) and Gary Bryant (442 yards) were solid, and Terrence Ferguson (414 yards), while a tight end, can play like a receiver. Oregon went out an added talented Evan Stewart from Texas A&M in the portal. They're the real deal.

#1 Ohio State

So, so much wide receiver talent here. Emeka Egbuka was a star two years ago (1,151 yards), but had a ragged 2023. Carnell Tate (264 yards) showed flashes last year as a freshman. But the wildcard here is true freshman Jeremiah Smith, a 6-foot-3 target who will star from Day 1 There's a ton of depth still, and Ohio State will be imposing at wideouts.
