Top 5 recruiting visits to look out for in College Football Week 12 ft. USC commit Julian Lewis

With playoffs beginning, high school football is winding down for the 2024 season. But recruiting is continuous, and things are starting to ramp up as signing day approaches.

A lot of key recruits will be taking visits to some top college football programs. In this article, the top visits for this week will be broken down.

Top five recruiting visits

#1 Julian Lewis visiting Georgia

Four-star quarterback Julian Lewis out of Carrollton High School is set to visit the 11th-ranked Georgia Bulldogs for their game against the sixth-ranked Tennessee Volunteers on Saturday.

Lewis is committed to the USC Trojans and has been for quite some time, but other schools have been at play. Georgia has a chance to make a good impression on the top recruit.

The Bulldogs may be looking for an answer at quarterback pending Carson Beck’s anticipated departure to the NFL. It’s possible that Julian Lewis could make an impact at Georgia as a freshman. Lewis holds over 30 offers from schools like USC, Georgia and Colorado.

#2 Lamont Rogers visiting Texas A&M

Class of 2025 5-Star Offensive Tackle Lamont Rogers out of Horn High School in Mesquite Texas is slated to visit the Texas A&M Aggies for their game against New Mexico State on Saturday.

Lamont is from Texas, and it would be a big deal for the Aggies to get a commitment from one of the top Offensive Lineman recruits in the country. Lamont is 6-foot-6, 311 pounds, and ranked as the No. 6 offensive tackle in the class of 2025, per 247sports.

Rogers is committed to Missouri, but Mike Roach of 247sports has him at a 100 percent Crystal Ball Prediction to Texas A&M. Texas A&M’s 2025 football recruiting class is ranked ninth in the country, per On3 Recruiting.

#3 Jared Smith visiting South Carolina

Five-Star Edge rusher Jared Smith is visiting the 23rd-ranked South Carolina Gamecocks for the Saturday game against No. 24 Missouri. The 6-foot-6, 235-pounder has been committed to Auburn since August, but the Gamecoks might try to get him to flip his commitment.

Shane Beamer and South Carolina have had a good season thus far, with wins over Kentucky, Oklahoma, Texas A&M and Vanderbilt, and they’ve been a force to reckon with in the SEC.

Jared Smith holds offers over 18 offers from schools like Auburn, Georgia and South Carolina. Per 247sports, he’s rated as the No. 2 edge rusher and overall player in Alabama in the class of 2025.

#4 Tramell Jones visiting the University

Three-Star quarterback from the 2025 class, Tramell Jones Jr., out of Mandarin High School in Florida is visiting the Florida Gators for their game against LSU at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.

The 6-foot-0, 196-pounder is ranked as the 21st-best quarterback in the class of 2025 and holds offers from schools like Florida, Georgia Tech and Louisville. per 247sports.

Tramell was committed to Flordia State but de-committed on Thursday. He's searching for a new college to commit to, and the Gators are in the running. Tramell is from Florida, so the possibility of being a Gator makes sense.

Florida has struggled with recruiting, as it has the 43rd overall 2025 football recruiting class, but having Tramell for a visit is a bright spot for their recruiting.

#5 Michael Carroll visiting Colorado

Five-star offensive lineman from the 2025 class, Michael Carroll out of IMG Academy in Florida, is visiting Colorado for an Official this weekend. He's ranked as the No. 1 inside offensive lineman and No. 1 player in the state of Florida, per 247sports.

He holds offers from the likes of Alabama, Colorado, Miami and Georgia. Micahel is committed to Alabama, but Colorado could possibly flip the top lineman recruit in the country to the Buffaloes.

Colorado's offensive line play has improved in a major way, with former five-Star Jordan Seaton having a good freshman campaign and with a commitment from Michael Carroll, the Buffs could make some noise in the recruiting trail.
