UCLA vs. Penn State: Box score, stats and summary feat. Drew Allar

The Week 6 game between UCLA and Penn State was supposed to be better at the start of the season, but the disastrous start by the visitors has the Nittany Lions as a huge favorite for the game. All their recent losses have been total domination and their acclimation to the Big Ten hasn't been good.

For Penn State, however, this week looks to be business as usual, as one of the best teams in the nation - and still undefeated - will play at home and look to take their record to 5-0, continuing to push forward their College Football Playoff hopes with Drew Aller and a strong defense.

UCLA vs. Penn State game summary

It was a tale of two halves in the Big Ten, as the Nittany Lions, clearly the better team, had to wait until the second half to really take control of the game, even though they were winning 14-3 once halftime arrived.

On the back of a solid exhibition by quarterback Drew Allar, they moved to a 5-0 start against the struggling Bruins, who now lost their third game in the Big Ten. The Nittany Lions struggled to run the football for most of the game, amassing just 3.0 yards per carry overall.

UCLA couldn't muster anything on the offense as well. Although they did grab a few big plays, their only touchdown happened late in the fourth quarter in garbage time, where the score was all but decided. T. J. Harden was a positive for them, with five receptions for 59 yards.

Quarterback Justyn Martin struggled for most of the game for the Bruins, even though he did not throw an interception. Finishing the game with just 167 passing yards over 30 attempts is never going to cut it against a top-10 team.

It's worth noting the very good exhibition from wide receiver Liam Clifford, who once again led the team in yards and receptions. He had 103 yards, including a 57-yarder that turned out to be the biggest play of the day for both teams.

The 27-11 score at the end perhaps could've been larger for Penn State, but sometimes you've got to grind out more than you wanted. Still, they remain undefeated and will keep their spot in the top 10.
