When looking at the Wake Forest Demon Deacons, the 2024 season will be significant after going 4-8 (1-7 in ACC) during last season. There are going to be a bunch of changes from last year's team, and there seem to have been some massive changes. Let's dive deeper into the Wake Forest football season for 2024 and discuss what we should be expecting this upcoming season.

Wake Forest's biggest games in the 2024 season

The Wake Forest Demon Deacons have a pretty simple schedule outside of its four games against AP Preseason Top 25 teams. They also will be flying to the West Coast for one game against Stanford to make things a bit intriguing. Below is the breakdown of their schedule.

Key Wake Forest players to watch out for in 2024

Hank Bachmeier, QB

Quarterback Bachmeier has shown the ability to step up and is entering his first season with the Wake Forest Demon Deacons, despite this being his sixth year of college football.

He spent 2023 with the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs and went 182-of-269 (67.7 percent) for 2,058 yards with 10 passing touchdowns and five interceptions. Having a solid quarterback with experience could help the program take their game to the next level.

Demond Claiborne, RB

Running back Claiborne has been the leading rusher for the Demon Deacons and they need him to continue stepping up with more of a workload in the 2024 season.

He finished last year with 137 rushing attempts for 586 yards (4.3 yards per carry) with five rushing touchdowns, and he had three receptions for 35 yards (11.7 yard per catch). If he can be more involved in the offense, specifically in the passing game, it will help Wake Forest.

Jasheen Davis, DE

Defensive end Davis has been one of the premier pass-rushers in the Atlantic Coast Conference and continued to showcase his abilities to get to the opposing quarterback.

He finished with 49 total tackles, one forced fumble, two fumble recoveries and a pair of pass deflections. His veteran presence on the defensive line is going to be a massive boost for Wake Forest during the 2024 season.

Wake Forest prediction for the 2024 season

The Wake Forest Demon Deacons did not improve enough throughout the college football offseason to project this team to make a bowl game, but they are going to be in a situation where they can show improvement.

The Demon Deacons have an easy stretch of games in the second half of the season with UConn, Stanford and California, but outside of that, wins are going to be few and far between. Expect Wake Forest to get four or five wins this year
