When Alabama QB Jalen Milroe penned emotional message for GF Hannah on her special day: “I found that”

Jalen Milroe may not have been a household name during the 2022 college football season, but he certainly grabbed attention off the field. Milroe, 20 at the time, melted hearts when he posted a heartfelt birthday message for his girlfriend, Hannah Rimkus, on Instagram.

In a series of adorable pictures, the young couple looked happy and very much in love. Milroe’s emotional caption read:

“It’s all about the person you can be yourself with…I found that. Happy Born day to you, Elise❤️”

Hannah, raised in Homer, Illinois, debuted on Jalen's social media through this post. According to her Facebook profile, she graduated from Lockport Township High School and earned a nursing degree from the University of Alabama in June 2022.

Emotions didn't deter Jalen Milroe from leaving Alabama post Nick Saban retirement

The college football world got emotional when Nick Saban announced his retirement from coaching. However, Milroe didn't let that emotion sway him away from Alabama. After Bryce Young's departure, Saban put his trust in Milroe to be the Crimson Tide’s main man.

Saban’s retirement prompted several Alabama players to transfer. However, Milroe remained determined and showed his loyalty by trusting new head coach Kalen DeBoer and stayed with the Crimson Tide for his senior year.

On ESPN's "First Take," Milroe shared his reasons for sticking with Alabama, saying his decision was not driven by emotion.

"Faith really came into the picture when it came to that situation. Also family. I separated my life into three pillars: faith, family, and football," Milroe said.

His reasons extend beyond the field with Milroe also focused on academic achievements.

"At my graduation, I told everyone I’m coming back for the next season and will get my master's degree this next December despite any challenges," he added.

Milroe recorded impressive stats in the 2023-24 college football season with 2,834 passing yards, 23 touchdowns, 531 rushing yards and 12 rushing touchdowns to his name. With DeBoer now guiding the offense, all eyes will be on Jalen Milroe as he aims to lead Alabama to new heights.
