All we know about Drew Pyne's dad George Pyne
Drew Pyne's father George was born on Sept. 2, 1965, in Milford, Massachusetts. He attended Choate Rosemary Hall High School and then graduated from Brown University with a major in Political Science.
George also played football in school and college. He was the captain for the Brown Bears, where he earned All-Ivy League and All-New England honors.
After graduation, George joined his family's real estate company. He later moved to Atlanta and began working at the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, where he analyzed the fiscal operations and budget of the Atlanta Public School.
George was then hired by Portman Cos, where he oversaw a $2 billion debt restructuring for the commercial real estate and trade show company.
He also turned a space owned by Portman into a corporate hospitality environment for the 1994 Super Bowl. He followed up by creating AMC Events to manage and market sports-related properties.
In 1995, George joined NASCAR as the organization's head of development and later became the Chief Operating Officer.
During his time at NASCAR, he negotiated several blockbuster deals, including a $4.5 billion television rights deal in 2005 and a $750 million sponsorship of the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series in 2004.
In 2006, George joined IMG as the president of sports and entertainment and as a board member. He left the organization in 2014 when IMG was sold to William Morris Endeavor for $2.4 billion.
George founded Bruin Sports Capital in Jan. 2015. The company changed its name to Bruin Capital in 2019.
George is married to his longtime partner Helene Pyne and the couple has four children together — two sons and two daughters.
