Reasons for Cutter Boley's Kentucky Commitment

Boley's commitment to the University of Kentucky was quite an easy decision. The signal-caller has been a Wildcats fan his whole life, watching the team play from a young age. It's a dream come true for him to get the opportunity to play for the program.

He also hails from the state of Kentucky, and getting to play college football at home in front of local fans would mean a lot to him. During Liam Coen's initial tenure as the offensive coordinator at Kentucky, Boley established a strong rapport with him.

It was reported that Boley's desire to remain at home diminished somewhat when Coen departed for the Los Angeles Rams. Nevertheless, with the return of Coen as the offensive coordinator, Boley swiftly rekindled that connection, leading to his commitment to the team.

The commitment of Cutter Boley to the University of Kentucky is definitely a huge one. The Lexington Christian Academy product will be the highest-profile quarterback in head coach Mark Stoops' era. The veteran coach has been in charge of the program since 2013.

Examining the recruiting classes from recent years under Stoops, one will come across a plethora of talented individuals from Kentucky who the University has recruited. However, none of these players plays as a quarterback.

In essence, Cutter Boley will be the first homegrown quarterback recruited during the reign of Mark Stoops.
