"Why is there not a lot of Ohio State QBs in the pros": Tom Brady once took a jab at Michigan's arch-rivals in NFL interview

The No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes are looking forward to their upcomng Week 14 game against the Michigan Wolverines. Ohio State had a dominant 45-0 victory over the Purdue Boilermakers in Week 11 on Saturday.

They also took a dig at Michigan during halftime last Saturday, which caught fans' attention. The Buckeyes' antics toward Michigan have brought back memories of when NFL legend Tom Brady took a jab at Ohio State.

Brady made fun of Ohio State during a press conference on Oct. 21, 2021, before the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' matchup against the Chicago Bears. The former Buckeyes quarterback Justin Fields was playing for the Bears then. It marked the first time in Brady's NFL career that he played against an Ohio State quarterback.

The former Wolverines quarterback joked about the lack of quarterbacks from his college rival to have played in the NFL.

"That's interesting. Why is there not a lot of Ohio State quarterbacks in the pros? There's a lot of Michigan guys over the years, but not a lot of Ohio State guys," Brady said.

Tampa Bay beat Chicago 38-3 at home in that game. Brady ended the game by completing 20-of-36 passes for 211 yards and four touchdowns. Fields, though, struggled in the matchup, with 22-of-32 completed passes for 184 yards and three interceptions.

While Ohio State and Michigan rivalry continues, the Buckeyes have had the better success this season.

Buckeyes quarterback Will Howard played efficiently, with 21-of-26 passes completed for 260 yards and three touchdowns. One of his key targets this season, wide receiver Jeremiah Smith, had six receptions for 87 yards and one touchdown.

Meanwhile, the Boilermakers couldn't gain momentum on offense against Ohio State's defense. Purdue quarterback Hudson Card ended the game with 9-of-19 completed passes for 108 yards and one interception.

The Buckeyes' win was their third on the trot. They next take on the Northwestern Wildcats (4-5, 2-4) in Week 12 on Saturday. However, Ohio State's halftime mockery of Michigan (5-5, 3-4) has fans looking forward to their matchup on Nov. 30.
