Why was Shedeur Sanders' car booted? Exploring reasons behind Colorado star's Rolls-Royce getting towed

Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders is one of the most popular players in college sports. Sanders will be looking to put up an impressive 2024 season playing for the Buffaloes.

During the 2023 collegiate season, one of Shedeur's cars was booted. Let's examine the reason for the forgettable experience of the future NFL first-round draft pick.

Why was Shedeur Sanders' Rolls-Royce booted?

According to the New York Post, Shedeur Sanders had his black Rolls-Royce booted by Colorado campus police in November. Sanders' car was booted due to frequent parking violations, as it was previously reported that the same vehicle had been ticketed with a wheel clamp. The authorities had reached their tipping point.

The report states that a Colorado information official posted a video on YouTube shorts of the boot on Sanders’ vehicle. However, the video has since been made private.

Sanders' car was one of out of at least nine vehicles of Colorado Buffaloes players affected by the strict parking enforcement on the Boulder, Colorado Campus. The Post reported that at least nine players had their cars towed costing players a significant amount to get them back from the towing company.

Players weren't the only ones affected, as even Coach Prime was hit with a parking ticket ahead of the Buffaloes’ matchup with Oregon. Speaking on the vehicular woes, an unnamed player said:

"It looks like it's an ongoing problem on campus that needs to be solved. We have had cars getting towed for parking near the Folsom Field."

Will Shedeur Sanders enter the 2025 NFL draft?

Shedeur Sanders will almost certainly enter the 2025 NFL draft. The Colorado Buffaloes starting quarterback is one of the most sought-after collegiate QB prospects in the country.

Bleacher Report admires Sanders' arm talent, over-the-top release and shiftiness in small spaces. Furthermore, his ability to throw while on the move is a skill that will serve him well at the professional level.

According to ESPN, NFL scouts have compared Sanders to Joe Burrow, Tyrod Taylor and Geno Smith. Two of these players are Pro Bowlers, so Sanders has the potential to be in good company at the professional level.

With at least one more season of college football to play, let's see how well Deion Sanders' son can improve this draft stock.
