"Why would you do that?: When Coach Prime jokingly grabbed Shedeur Sanders by the neck and the young QB had questions

Coach Prime can be a tough coach, but he is quite a loving father. Deion Sanders once hilariously grabbed his son Shedeur Sanders by the neck after he heard the young quarterback throw shade on his style and personality.

In a video posted by Deion Jr. on his "Well Off Media" YouTube channel in March 2023, Sheduer was heard talking smack about his father Deion, who snuck up from outside the room to confront him. Deion walked toward Shedeur, who was on his self-balancing scooter, and jokingly grabbed him by the neck.

"Why would you do that?" Shedeur asked. "Like, come on, why would you do that?"

Sanders then inquired what his two sons were talking about before loosening his grip on Shedeur.

Notably, the hilarious incident took place even before Sanders coached a game for Colorado. Since then, Coach Prime and even Sheduer have come a long way.

In their first season at Colorado, the Buffaloes finished with a disappointing 4-8 record. However, this season, the Buffs are in the hat to make the College Football Playoff and are one of the most improved teams in the country.

Coach Prime's No. 16 Colorado (8-2, 6-1 Big 12) has a chance of making it to the College Football Playoff this season. The Buffs need to win their two remaining regular season games to give themselves the best shot of qualifying for the playoffs.

Shedeur has also been integral to Colorado's success this season. The quarterback has completed 280 of 384 passes for 3,222 yards and thrown 27 touchdowns with seven interceptions. He has also rushed for four touchdowns across 10 games.

Shedeur is expected to lead Colorado's offense in Week 13 against Kansas on Saturday and in the Buffs final regular season game against Oklahoma State on Nov. 29.
