Meanwhile, Illinois climbed from outside the top 25 to No. 21 after besting previously-ranked Nebraska.
The steepest falls
The biggest fall from the poll was No. 23 Memphis stumbling all the way to not receiving any top 25 votes after losing to Navy. As 44 teams ended up receiving votes, the voters dropped Memphis at least 22 spots in their slide from the poll.
Likewise, Nebraska slid from No. 22 to 11th in the receiving votes category (or No. 36 overall) after losing to Illinois.
The biggest loss within the poll was Kansas State, sliding from No. 14 to No. 25 after being blasted by BYU. The 11-point drop was the biggest movement of a team staying within the poll.
Two other squads fell five spots in the current poll, with Oklahoma falling from No. 13 to No. 18 after being blasted by now No. 6 Tennessee. Similarly, Oklahoma State dived from No. 15 to No. 20 after losing their game against No. 10 Utah 22-19.
