"Xavier Weaver was doing good cardio" - Colorado Buffs WR dominating Week 7 with 3 TDs in first half pumps up CFB fans

The Colorado Buffaloes dominated in the first half against the Stanford Cardinal thanks to wide receiver Xavier Weaver. The senior wide receiver has been doing it all over the field as he has four receptions for 61 yards with a pair of touchdowns till the 06:33 mark in the third quarter. Moreover, Xavier Weaver also ran in a 14-yard touchdown.

This first-half performance had the college football world buzzing as he was seen as the team's top wide receiver in the first 30 minutes of the game and opening a lot of eyeballs.

Xavier Weaver was one of the biggest reasons why the Colorado Buffaloes were able to dominate and end the first half with a 29-0 lead. While there is still a lot of time remaining, it will be interesting to see if Weaver is going to be involved in the offensive game plan even more during the second half of this game.

How high will Xavier Weaver be selected in the 2024 NFL draft?

Xavier Weaver is a fifth-year senior for the Colorado Buffaloes this season and has looked outstanding. With Travis Hunter lined up on the opposite side of the formation, Weaver has been able to showcase his abilities.

Entering the Week 7 game against the Stanford Cardinal, he has been performing incredibly well. The six-foot one-inch, 180-pound receiver has 43 catches for 507 yards (11.8 yards per catch) with a pair of passing touchdowns. He has become Shedeur Sanders' favorite target and having competent quarterback play has really helped showcase his incredible abilities.

This is Weaver's first season in Colorado as he spent his first four seasons in college football with the South Florida Bulls. Right now, Xavier Weaver is showcasing his abilities to be a Day 2 pick in the 2024 NFL draft. Teams are going to be wanting a strong wide receiver and with an NFL weight training program, Weaver could add a few more pounds in muscle to absorb some more hits.

His estimated 40-yard dash time is sitting around 4.5 seconds, which is right around average for the wide receiver position but his ability and feel of the position is going to help whatever offense he joins.

One concern is his ability to secure contested catches as he is not consistently making those types of plays. However, he can still develop into a solid player and has shown his ability to really be a force in whatever offense he's part of.
