The Indian openers gave the side a good start and fifties from Sachin Tendulkar and Gautam Gambhir helped the hosts stay on course. But a couple of quick wickets towards the middle meant the Aussies stayed in the hunt and at 187 for 5 with MS Dhoni gone, the match was in the balance.
