200 Test wickets for Stuart Broad
‘He’s big, he’s bad, he’s better than his dad, Stuart Broad.’
That’s right. Earlier today, Stuart Broad took his 200th Test wicket for England, and in doing so, he became the 15th player to reach this feat for England and the 2nd youngest, only behind England legend Ian Botham.
His 200th victim was Australian captain and centurion Michael Clarke. It was the fifth time Broad has got Clarke out. There are just three players Broad has got out more times and they are Brendon McCullum, Ross Taylor and AB de villiers.
Over the last few weeks, Broad has taken quite a bit of stick even from mysel,f but hopefully he can move on and celebrate this great achievement.
Just a few stats for you here as everyone loves stats! Well I know I do – the ground where he has taken the most wickets is Lord’s with 48 and the team which he has taken the most wickets against is New Zealand with 38.
