Day two of the 2018 Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy featured the first tied match of this year's tournament. Himachal Pradesh beat Haryana in a super over after both the teams ended up scoring 194 each.

Put in to bat, openers Prashant Chopra and Ankush Bains took Himachal Pradesh off to a great start as they scored 50 runs in the first five overs before Bains was dismissed for 31 off 15 balls. Prashant looked solid throughout the innings, scoring an unbeaten 64-ball 99 with the help of 11 fours. He was supported well by veteran batsman Paras Dogra, who scored an unbeaten 47, taking his team to 194/2 in their 20 overs.

Thanks to Harshal Patel, Haryana were off to a swashbuckling start as he scored 73 runs off 32 balls with the help of seven fours and five sixes to give Himachal a scare. When he got out in the 10 over with the scorecard reading 94/3, Rahul Tewatia walked out and threatened to take the game away from Himachal before falling for a 26-ball 42.

Some tight bowling from the Himachal bowlers made sure that Haryana just managed to equal their total and took the game into a super over. Himachal's Pankaj Jaiswal gave away just two runs before cleaning up the Haryana batsmen in just three balls to put his team in a strong position. Skipper Prashant Chopra, who made an unbeaten 99 in the match, finished off the match by scoring a six off the first ball and took his tally to 105 runs.

Notable contributions from Mayank Agarwal, Stuart Binny and Abhimanyu Mithun helped Karnataka beat Goa by 49 runs.

Dinesh Karthik's 57 off 28, along with some fantastic bowling from K Vignesh and Washington Sundar, helped Tamil Nadu beat Andhra by eight wickets.
