Karun Nair was the star of the show for Karnataka

The Karnataka cricket team defeated Hyderabad by two runs in a high scoring, nail-biting encounter in Visakhapatnam. 408 runs were scored in the match with Karnataka coming out on top in the final over of the game.

Karun Nair was the star of Karnataka's batting line-up as he scored a quick-fire knock of 77 in just 42 balls with ten fours and one six to his name.

He put on a 129 run partnership with Krishnappa Gowtham, who scored a well-crafted half-century as well.

In reply, Akshath Reddy and Tanmay Agarwal got Hyderabad got off to the best possible start with the former scoring 70 runs in just 29 balls with three fours and seven sixes to his name.

Unfortunately, he wasn't able to carry them over the line. A lot was expected off Ambati Rayudu, but the Indian international wasn't able to deliver as he was dismissed for just 8 runs.

In the end, Hyderabad managed to score 203 in response to Karnataka's 205.

In the other matches, Dinesh Karthik's half-century helped Tamil Nadu defeat Goa by 25 runs. TN managed to score 155 runs in 20 overs and were able to restrict Goa to just 130 after some tight and effective bowling by the bowlers.

Meanwhile, Krunal Pandya and Deepak Hooda helped Baroda achieve an easy victory against Saurashtra. Chasing 132, Baroda were able to get to the target with more than three overs to spare.

In the other match, Mumbai thrashed Maharashtra by eight wickets with more than 10 overs to spare. Maharashtra had no say in the match as they were bowled out for a meagre total of 89. In response, Mumbai achieved the target in just 9.2 overs.
