2018 Vijay Hazare Trophy: KL Rahul, Ravindra Jadeja score centuries

Out-of-favour Indian stars KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja made a strong case for themselves in a bid to a make a comeback to the Indian ODI team by scoring valiant centuries for their respective teams in the ongoing 2018 Vijay Hazare trophy.

The Player of the Tournament in the 2018 Under-19 World Cup, Shubman Gill, finally hit form in the tournament as he scored a 122-ball-123 to take Punjab to a decent total of 269 in their 42 overs. Chasing 270, Karnataka were off to a disastrous start as they lost the wickets of Mayank Agarwal, Karun Nair and R Samarth in quick succession. KL Rahul did well to get his team back in the contest as he looked in good touch throughout the 91-ball knock that saw him score 107 runs with the help of eight fours and five sixes.

With 21 runs needed off 2.4 overs, Barinder Sran had Rahul caught by Manpreet Grewal to turn the game in favour of his side. Thanks to Siddarth Kaul's 3/47 in nine overs, Punjab cruised home by four runs.

In Hyderabad, Ravindra Jadeja scored an unbeaten 113 off 116 balls with seven fours and four sixes to take Saurashtra home with 10 balls to spare.
