3 changes India could make for T20 World Cup 2024 clash vs Canada ft. Kuldeep for Jadeja

Team India will lock horns with Canada in their fourth and final group game of the T20 World Cup 2024. The Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground in Lauderhill, Florida, will host the clash on Saturday, June 15.

The Men in Blue began their campaign with an eight-wicket victory over Ireland in New York. The Men in Blue followed it with a thrilling victory over arch-rivals Pakistan in a low-scoring game. Rohit Sharma and company continued their winning run against co-hosts USA to book their place in Super Eight.

Although India have won three out of three so far in Group A, there are certain areas they would look to improve before the Super Eight stage begins. On that note, let's take a look at three changes India should make for the T20 World Cup clash vs Canada.

#1 Kuldeep Yadav for Ravindra Jadeja

India have gone in with two spinners in the first three games of the T20 World Cup. Axar Patel and Ravindra Jadeja were included to strengthen the batting unit. With Jadeja struggling for form, the Men in Blue might consider a change in their final group game.

Kuldeep was in decent form in IPL 2024 with the Delhi Capitals, picking up 16 wickets at an economy rate of 8.70, with best figures of 4/55 against the SunRisers Hyderabad.

Kuldeep will add a different dimension to India's bowling attack, which the management will look to explore ahead of the business end of the tournament.

#2 Sanju Samson in for Shivam Dube

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) all-rounder Shivam Dube copped a lot of criticisms for his below-par return against Pakistan in New York. Many slammed the selection committee for trusting Dube ahead of Rinku Singh.

However, Dube showed glimpses of form in the last outing against the USA, remaining unbeaten on 31 off 35 balls. He stitched together a crucial partnership with Suryakumar Yadav to help the team chase down 111 runs.

The Indian management might try Sanju Samson in the middle order and see how he responds to the task to keep an option open heading into the Super Eight stage. Samson, who led the Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2024, was in scintillating form, aggregating 531 runs in 14 games at a strike rate of 153.47.

#3 Yuzvendra Chahal for Mohammed Siraj

Right-arm pacer Mohammed Siraj has struggled to pick up wickets so far in three games, getting only one wicket and conceding 57 runs. The Indian management might try leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal in his place to look into different combinations.

Chahal picked up 18 wickets in 15 games with the best figures of 3/11 in the IPL. He will look to make a mark if given an opportunity against Canada and stake a claim in the side.
