Tye didn’t get a chance to perform in the playing XI and then following the CSK ban, he transferred to Gujarat Lions (GL), where he played for a couple of years from 2016-17.
Tye's made a thunderous appearance and grabbed a 5 wicket haul and continued on to scalp 13 wickets in just 6 matches.
His best season came in 2018 when he was picked up by the Kings XI Punjab (KXIP). Tye was 'KXIP outstanding pacer' of the edition by picking up 24 wickets in just 14 matches.
So, bad for CSK but great for Punjab.
