3 teams who should target Liam Livingstone in IPL 2025 auction ft. Gujarat Titans
Liam Livingstone will be one of the top players to watch out for in the IPL 2025 auction. The English all-rounder has made a name for himself with his extravagant performances in the shortest format of the game.
Known for his big hits, Liam Livingstone can also change the game with his spin-bowling skills. He is one of the few all-rounders in the T20 world, who can bowl both off-spin and leg-spin properly, making him an asset for any team. Plus, his fantastic fielding skills make him a complete T20 player.
Any IPL team would love to have Liam Livingstone in their squad. He was with the Punjab Kings in the previous IPL cycle from 2022 to 2024, scoring 827 runs and scalping 11 wickets in 30 matches. His best performance came in a league game against Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2022, where he smashed a 32-ball 60 and then took two wickets.
Despite his all-round brilliance, Kings decided against retaining Livingstone for the upcoming season.

IPL 2022 champions Gujarat Titans have retained five players, namely Rashid Khan, Shubman Gill, Sai Sudharsan, Rahul Tewatia and Shahrukh Khan. They still have a tried and tested opening pair, two reliable finishers and a gun middle-order batter.
There is a vacancy for an overseas big-hitter in the lineup, and Liam Livingstone can take that spot. He can bat at number four for the Gujarat Titans, giving some much-needed firepower to the lineup.
In the bowling department, he can form a potent combination with Rashid Khan to trouble the opposition batters.

Punjab Kings have four RTM cards available for IPL 2025 auction. It should not be a surprise if coach Ricky Ponting uses one of them to re-sign Liam Livingstone for the next cycle of the league.
Livingstone had been a match-winner for the Kings in the last three seasons. Although he was inconsistent at times, he would win the match for the team once he got going.
Back in 2022, Punjab shelled out ₹11.5 crore to sign Livingstone at the mega auction. But, PBKS are likely to use the RTM card for him to bolster their middle-order.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru are known for signing big-hitters at the IPL auctions. Liam Livingstone can play a similar role like Glenn Maxwell and Will Jacks for RCB if they rope him in at the mega auction.
