The stand-in Indian captain made many records in the recently concluded T20I series against New Zealand. Rohit Sharma has been in prolific run-scoring form in recent years, especially in the shorter version of the game and that has recently made him the top run scorer of all time in the format.

He also holds the records for scoring four centuries and two of them came as a captain. He has great technique that is suited to the limited overs format of the game and also has the ability to smash sixes at ease.

He has crossed fifty-plus scores most times in T20I cricket and his Indian team-mate Virat Kohli is not far who stands behind with 19 fifty plus scores. The Mumbaikar also became the first Indian to hit 100 sixes in T20 internationals during the second T20I against New Zealand.

Though most of these records are known to everyone, there are 3 unique records which makes him a special T20 cricketer.

Rohit Sharma scored his first T20I century as captain against Sri Lanka in 2017. He also became the first Indian captain to achieve this special feat. The century came in 35 balls which remains the joint fastest along with David Miller in T20I history.

This helped India to post their highest ever total, 260/5, in T20I history. Both Rahul and Rohit added 165 runs inside 13 overs for the first wicket with Rohit Sharma smashing 12 fours and 10 Sixes during the innings which implied 108 runs coming in boundaries out of 118 runs that he scored.

This is the highest percentage for any T20I innings of 30 or more balls with 91.52%. He broke the record of Ireland cricketer Paul Stirling who currently ranks second with 88.61 when he smashed 54 runs in boundaries out of the 61 runs he scored against Canada in 2012.
