4 Delhi Capitals players who will play for Trinbago Knight Riders in 2024 Women's CPL ft. Jemimah Rodrigues
Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) emerged champions in the inaugural edition of the Women's Caribbean Premier League (WCPL) in 2022. The 2024 edition is set to begin on August 21, 2024, and will go on till August 29. Trinbago Knight Riders retained five players from the 2023 season - Deandra Dottin, Shamila Connell, Kycia Knight, Zaida James, and Samara Ramnath.
Shreyanka Patil became the first Indian player to feature in the league when the Guyana Amazon Warriors picked her for the 2023 season. TKR have now roped in Indian batting sensation Jemimah Rodrigues and experienced pacer Shikha Pandey in their squad ahead of the 2024 season.
Along with Jemimah and Shikha Pandey, there are two other players who will also be a part of the Trinbago Knight Riders this season who represent the Delhi Capitals (DC) in the Women's Premier League (WPL).
It will therefore be a reunion for the quartet as they are set to feature in the same team once again, this time in the WPCL.

#4 Meg Lanning
Famed Australian women's cricketer Meg Lanning has been picked by the Trinbago Knight Riders in the pre-draft squad ahead of the 2024 season.
This will be her debut appearance in the Women's Caribbean Premier League. Lanning has been with the Delhi Capitals in the WPL for two seasons and has been impressive, scoring 676 runs from 18 matches at a strike-rate of 130.75 and an average of 42.25.
She has made immense contributions to Australian cricket. Having played 132 WT20Is, she has stacked up 3405 runs. Her experience will certainly come in handy for TKR.
#3 Jess Jonassen
Australian left-arm spinner Jess Jonassen has also been included in TKR's squad for the WCPL 2024. She is known for her economical bowling and wicket-taking ability.
Jonassen starred in the 2012 Women's World T20 final, where she picked up 3/25 against England, leaving an impact early in her career. She has scalped 96 wickets from 105 WT20Is and 20 wickets from 16 WPL games for the Delhi Capitals.
Her versatility and ability to operate at any stage of the game make her a valuable asset for any side, particularly in the T20 format.
#2 Shikha Pandey
One among the two Indians to be picked by the Trinbago Knight Riders for WCPL 2024, pacer Shikha Pandey brings immense experience to the table. She has been an integral part of the national side as well, picking up 43 wickets in 62 WT20Is.
She has 19 wickets from 18 WPL matches so far at an impressive economy rate of 6.89. Shikha has the experience of playing two T20 World Cups (2020, 2023).
She can also prove to be a handy lower-order batter and is known for her inswingers with the new ball early on. This will be her first season in the Women's Caribbean Premier League.
#1 Jemimah Rodrigues
One of the most exciting talents in India, Jemimah Rodrigues has made a name for herself at a young age. She has played for India in the Caribbean before and her experience from the same will certainly be of help.
Jemimah has also plied her trade in the Women's Big Bash League and the Women's Hundred, showing her experience of playing in some of the top leagues in women's cricket.
She has played 94 WT20Is and has scored 1997 runs with 11 half-centuries. Jemimah also has 361 runs from 18 WPL games for the Delhi Capitals at a strike-rate of 143.82.
Her attacking strokeplay and ability to provide stability at the same time could prove key to the success of the Trinbago Knight Riders in this edition of the WCPL.
