4 players who might be dropped by Mumbai Indians in IPL 2019
In what was easily the biggest shock of IPL 2018, Mumbai Indians failed to make the playoffs. Having started off as one of the favourites, Mumbai stuttered and stumbled their way through the season but the defeat to the Delhi Daredevils in the final match sealed their fate.
A lot of players in the Mumbai ranks failed to play according to their potential and this resulted in their early exit.
Here are four players Mumbai should drop from their squad for the next IPL:
#1 JP Duminy
The South African all-rounder was picked up by Mumbai Indians at the auction for 1 crore but he failed to live up to that price tag.
Duminy featured in just 6 games the entire campaign, scoring just 36 runs at a woeful strike rate of 90. Mumbai have a lot of top-order batsmen in their ranks and that meant Duminy had to bat at an unfamiliar position lower down the order, something he's just not suited to and he is unlikely to get a game next season.
