Batsmen with more than 8000 runs in ODI wins
A batsmen's duty is to score runs and help his side to victories. With the imposition of field restrictions, bigger bats and smaller boundaries, it is the batsmen who have called the shots in the shorter versions of the game.
Scoring 8000 runs itself is a big achievement, but scoring 8000 runs in ODI wins alone is an incredible feat. Several players who came into the limelight at the start of their career have faded away. The players who feature in this list, have shown tremendous passion and dedication towards the game and possessed the necessary skills to score tons of runs across the globe in this format of the game.
Let's have a look at the batsmen who have scored more than 8000 runs in ODI victories for their respective sides.
#5 Jacques Kallis- 8036 runs (South Africa)
The greatest all-rounder to have ever played the game, the talisman from South Africa represented them in 328 ODIs, and was a major contributor with the bat with almost every shot in his repertoire. His career spanned for 18 years from 1996 to 2014.
South Africa won 210 of the 328 games that he was a part of. During that period, he scored 8036 runs from 10621 deliveries at an average of 51.18, including 58 fifties and 13 hundreds. Also, 190 of his 273 wickets have come in a winning cause, which makes his feat even more laudable.
After his departure from International cricket, South Africa have not been able to find able replacements for him.
