The left-hander from New South Wales is the most successful overseas batsman in the history of the IPL. David Warner captained Sunrisers Hyderabad to IPL glory in 2016, defeating Royal Challengers Bangalore in the final to lift the coveted trophy.
Warner has scored 4014 runs in the IPL, the most by any overseas batsman. He has hit 3 hundreds and 36 fifties, the most fifties by any batsman in IPL history. His average of 40.54 is the second best in IPL history (min. 2000 runs), with only Chris Gayle possessing a better average.
At a phenomenal strike rate of 142, Warner scored at least 500 runs in the last four editions of the tournament, showing his consistency. In 2016, the Aussie scored a mammoth 848 runs with nine fifties to take SRH to the title. He is expected to be back in IPL 2018.
