In a professional sports league like Indian Premier League, cricketers have to perform whenever called upon for their respective franchise. Some cricketers who played great for their new franchises and even outdid against their ex-franchise in the Indian Premier League.

#1 Chris Gayle (Royal Challengers Bangalore)
The man from Jamaica holds most of the batting records in T20 cricket. He has the most fifties (65), most hundreds (18), most fours (804), most sixes (772) and highest score (175) in T20 cricket.
Chris Gayle was an indispensable member of Royal Challengers Bangalore squad from 2011 to 2017. In the Indian Premier League, he was the winner of the orange cap twice and won consecutively in 2011 and 2012. Gayle has single-handedly taken Royal Challengers Bangalore to countless triumphs over the years.
In 2013, he scored a magnificent 175 runs against the now-defunct Pune Warriors which is the highest individual score in the T20 format. Gayle has performed 102 matches for Royal Challengers Bangalore and scored 3,637 runs at an outstanding average of 41.30 with five centuries and 21 half-centuries to his name at an outstanding strike-rate of 151.30.
In the 2018 IPL Auction, Gayle was picked up by Kings XI Punjab for his base amount of INR 2 crores. He scored 104 runs off 64 deliveries against Sunrisers Hyderabad in that season and It was his 6th Indian Premier League century.
Releasing Chris Gayle would surely be a painful for Bangalore.
