5 Pakistani cricketers involved in off-field brawls with fans ft. Haris Rauf

Haris Rauf has grabbed the headlines for the wrong reasons over the last few days. The Pakistan fast bowler lost his cool and jumped to attack a fan in the United States.

The exact details of the conversation between the fan and Haris Rauf are not known, but in the viral video, the Pakistan pacer can be seen with his wife. A fan came near Rauf, who lost his cool and tried to attack him. There was a short brawl between them as well.

This is not the first time a Pakistani cricketer has been involved in an off-field brawl. Here's a list of five such instances.

#1 Haris Rauf fights with a fan in the USA

Starting the list with the most recent entry, Haris Rauf almost had an intense physical battle with a cricket fan in the United States. The Pakistan team was eliminated in the group stage of the ongoing T20 World Cup in the USA and West Indies.

After Pakistan's last match against Ireland, a video surfaced on social media, where Haris Rauf tried to engage in a brawl with a fan. Haris Rauf mentioned in another social media post that he would always have such a reaction if a fan crossed the line and spoke negative things about his family.

#2 Inzamam-ul-Haq tries to beat a spectator with a bat

Back in the year 1997, India faced Pakistan in the Sahara Cup. Inzamam-ul-Haq was an active player for Pakistan then. After the 16th over of India's innings, Inzamam asked the 12th man Mohammad Hussain to bring a bat and beat a spectator while Pakistan were fielding.

Wasim Akram disclosed during an appearance on The Kapil Sharma Show that the fan was shouting 'Aalu, Aalu' (Hindi word for Potato) on the mic from the stands when Inzamam was fielding. The Pakistan star lost his cool and decided to take his anger out on the fan.

#3 Shoaib Akhtar hits Mohammad Asif with a bat

Shoaib Akhtar had a very controversial career. The former Pakistan pacer once hit his teammate Mohammad Asif with a bat. It was before the 2007 T20 World Cup, and Akhtar blamed Shahid Afridi for the fight between himself and Asif.

Akhtar was removed from the Pakistan squad for that tournament, while Asif and Afridi represented the Men in Green. Afterward, Akhtar apologized for his actions.

#4 Women's cricketers involved in a fight

The brawls in Pakistan cricket are not just limited to the men's division. Earlier this year, a journalist named Shoaib Jatt reported that a new national player of the women's team was beaten by an international and other national cricketers in her hotel room, with her nose bleeding as well.

Later, another journalist named Saj Sadiq tweeted that Ayesha Bilal was the player suffering a bleeding nose courtesy of an assault from Sadaf Shamas and Yusra Amir. As per reports, PCB even put a temporary ban on all three players.

#5 Mohammad Sami

In December 2010, former Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Sami reportedly fought with a teammate and damaged furniture while being drunk at the Grace Hotel in Rawalpindi.

Sami was set to lead the Karachi Blues team in a Quaid-e-Azam trophy match before the incident. The pacer accepted that he brawled with his teammate, but he denied that he was under the influence of alcohol.
