Kings XI Punjab is among the few sides who have never won the IPL title. They came as close as the final of 2014 but lost to Kolkata Knight Riders in a solid encounter.

Glen Maxwell, Virender Sehwag, Mitchell Johnson, they had a long list of superstars but all failed to deliver the IPL trophy.

The inclusion of Yuvraj Singh might be a surprise to many as things aren't looking too bring for him due to his inconsistent form. But despite this, he is considered one of the best T20 batsmen in the world.

Though he led the Sunrisers Hyderabad to the IPL title in 2016, the side did not retain him this season due to his unstable form in the IPL edition of 2017 and subsequently King XI Punjab bought him

The all-rounder has played 120 matches in his IPL career and scored 2,587 runs at an average of 25.61 with the strike rate of 131.19. He was also the first all-rounder to 300 plus runs and to take 15 wickets in a single World Cup.

The winner of the Arjuna Award was the icon and captain of the King XI Punjab in the first two seasons of the IPL. He went on to play for the Pune Warriors and then had brief spells with the Royal Challengers Bangalore, Delhi Daredevils, and Sunrisers Hyderabad before returning back to Kings XI Punjab.

His experience will play a vital role in King's XI squad this year and will add stability to their middle order.
