Travis Head, who has been making waves with his performances in the recent past across formats, represented Australia during the 2012 Under-19 World Cup. The Under-19 World Cup has been a platform that has given the cricketing world numerous superstars over the years.
Each year, several cricketers succeed and come out, eventually going on to play for their senior national sides as well. Travis Head is yet another of those success stories, now making it big at the international (senior) level as well.
Head was a part of the Australian team that played the final of the 2012 Under-19 World Cup but lost to Unmukt Chand-led India. Australia put up 225/8 on the board batting first. Travis Head made a significant contribution, scoring 37 runs off 56 deliveries.

#5 Cameron Bancroft
Right-handed batter Cameron Bancroft, now 32, was among Australia's significant run-getters in the 2012 edition of the tournament. He scored 196 runs from five innings at an average of 39.20, including a century.
Bancroft went on to make his debut for the senior side in a T20I in 2016. He made his Test debut in 2017 but was handed a ban after being involved in the infamous sandpaper scandal. He returned to the Test side in 2019 but has played only a couple of matches ever since.
#4 Kraigg Brathwaite
The current captain of the West Indies Test side, Kraigg Brathwaite also played the 2012 Under-19 World Cup with Head. West Indies had a decent campaign but lost the fifth-place playoff.
Brathwaite was their leading run-scorer, piling on 213 runs from six innings with an impressive average of 53.25. He made his Test debut for the senior side in 2011 and now captains the team as well. Brathwaite has also played ODI cricket for the senior national team.
#3 Ben Duckett
Left-handed batter Ben Duckett played for England in the 2012 edition. England won the fifth-place playoff. However, Duckett did not make a significant impact, as he could only manage to score 98 runs from five innings, with 55 coming in a single innings.
However, the-now 30-year-old has evolved himself and plays for the England men's senior national team in all three formats. He is a vital member of both their ODI and Test teams at present.

South African wicketkeeper-batter Quinton de Kock is also among the players to have played with Travis Head in the 2012 edition. The left-hander impressed from his early days, emerging as South Africa's leading run-scorer in that edition with 284 runs from six innings at an average of 47.33 and a strike-rate of 102.52, including a century.
Quinton de Kock is among the well-established cricketers in today's time, having represented the South African senior side in all three formats with an impressive record in each format as well. He ended as the fourth highest-run getter in the 2012 Under-19 World Cup.
#1 Babar Azam
Among Pakistan's top players in the present era, Babar Azam was a part of the U-19 team during the 2012 edition. He was the second-highest run-getter in the tournament with 287 runs, and the leading run-scorer for his side. He averaged 57.40 and also scored an unbeaten century.
Babar Azam went on to captain the Pakistan senior national team in all formats. He made his international debut in 2015 (ODIs). His T20I debut came the very next year in 2016 while his Test debut also came in 2016.
