5 players who expressed anger at the team management after being dropped

Players represent their country and go out on the field and perform their best for the passion they have for the game. Just that, it seems to take an ugly face when some passionate players are dropped out for reasons the team management finds legitimate.

The decision of being dropped is too much to take for a player who has been there, playing the game with their heart and soul for a pretty long time. On not being able to gulp down the decision of not being part of the team he has been giving everything to, he vents anger at the management.

Recently, when the West Indies squad led by Jason Holder for the upcoming Test series against India was released, Denesh Ramdin was absent from the list. The cricketer expressed his anger and displeasure on the social media for being overlooked for the series that will be starting on July 21, in Antigua.

Here are five more Cricketers who chose to so the same when they were being dropped out of the team:

1. Ricky Ponting

The former Australian skipper lost his cool after being dropped from the ODI team, in the middle of an ODI series in 2012. The player revealed his anger at being dropped in his autobiography. Selectors believed he was dropped for good, as he hardly scored 18 runs in the last series he played and he took five matches to reach that score.

The player, however, couldn't take the decision quite positively. Later in his book, 'At the Close of Play', he wrote, “Everything they [the selectors] said was building me up, how important I was, how they needed my help. You might have thought they were ringing me to thank me the next day, but instead they were telling me I was done. That still annoys me,”

Ricky Ponting retired from the game later that year after the Test series against South Africa at his home ground.
