Chris Gayle, the hard-hitting West Indies batsman, drew attention when he carried a golden bat to the middle of a cricket ground.

Playing for Melbourne Renegades in 2015/16 edition of the Big Bash League, Gayle used a gold-coloured bat manufactured by Spartan, especially for him.

The iconic moment came in the third match of the tournament played between Melbourne Renegades and Brisbane Heat. Gayle walked out to bat with his golden weapon, which left the fans all over the world amazed.

Opening alongside Aaron Finch, Gayle's inning was short-lived, as he got out in the fifth over after scoring 23 off 16 balls. He hit four boundaries which included two huge sixes and two fours.
