The ICC U-19 Cricket World cup has been a sweeping stage for the young and aspiring cricketers to exhibit their talent to the cricketing world.
The so-called fab four of International cricket - Virat Kohli, Joe Root, Kane Williamson, Steven Smith - came to the International scheme things with a solid background from U19 cricket.
South Africa won the 2014 U-19 tournament thanks to a wonderful team effort. However, throughout the event, there were many players who showed a glimpse of their future.

#5 Aiden Markram (South Africa)
Aiden Markram holds the proud record of being the first South African to lift a Cricket World Cup. With his successful stint as a captain in 2014 U-19 World Cup, he announced himself as a champion material.
He was also awarded the Man-of-the-series trophy for his astonishing 370 runs from six innings, at an average of 123.33.
Markram was another victim of South Africa's quota system as he waited for a well-deserved International call-up for more than three years. The snub did not deter his confidence as he performed exceedingly well in the domestic tournaments.
Under Mark Boucher's direction, Markram averaged more than fifty in both the first-class and List A matches. Because of his consistent performances, he was included in South Africa's Test squad to face England in July-August 2017.
He made his début against Bangladesh and came agonizingly close to making a century. Unfortunately, he got run out three short of the century. However, he scored a century in the second Test match against Bangladesh.
Markram will be looking forward to India's tour of South Africa to stamp his authority in the world cricket.
