Prithvi Shaw, at the moment, is going through the best phase of his young cricketing career. He led the under-19 Indian team to world cup glory with some inspired leadership under the guidance of legendary Rahul Dravid and now he has lightened up the IPL with his fantastic stroke play.

Shaw made the headlines as a 14-year old kid when he made a mammoth 546 runs from 330 balls in a school competition. Since then he has made rapid strides with some spectacular performances in Ranji Trophy and Duleep Trophy.

The 18-year old is gifted with brilliant hand-eye coordination and he picks up length so quickly which is the biggest feature of his game. However, he has been found out on most occasions when the ball had prodigious movement, a flaw which can be rectified with experience.

Shaw will definitely be one of the prime candidates in the future to fill the opening slot if there is a place up for grabs.
