7 survivors from the last India-New Zealand ODI series played in India
After suffering a 3-0 whitewash at the hands of a rampaging Indian team in Tests, New Zealand will be out for revenge as the two teams face off in a 5-match ODI series. The last time the Kiwis came to India for an ODI series was in the 2010/11 season and a Gautam Gambhir-led home side thrashed them 5-0.
However, things have changed drastically since then and the Blackcaps have established themselves as one of the most dangerous teams in the 50-over format. The squads that have been picked by both India and New Zealand this time around also look very different compared to what they were back then.
This is primarily because of a number of senior players retiring and some youngsters making their way into the team. Some of the players from the 2010/11 series, though, have made it through and still represent their country in ODI cricket perhaps because they were in their early years at the time.
Here are 7 such players who are survivors from the last India-New Zealand ODI series played in India:
#7 Rohit Sharma
Rohit Sharma is one of the players in the Indian squad for the upcoming New Zealand ODIs who also played during the 2010/11 series. The aggressive Indian opener was just 23 years old at the time and was included in the team for the last 2 matches of the 5-match ODI series.

Sharma got the chance to bat only once during his two appearances and he did quite decently with a 48-ball 44 in the 4th ODI. No one had a clue back then that the prodigiously talented Mumbai batsman would become the only player to score 2 double hundreds in the format and also hold the record for the highest individual score.
