A Ranji trophy game between Andhra and Madhya Pradesh saw Madhya Pradesh losing 6 wickets in a matter of 23 balls without scoring any runs. The Group B game between Andhra and Madhya Pradesh was being played at Indore.

The match began on the 7th of January with Madhya Pradesh winning the toss and electing to field first. Andhra had a shaky start as they lost their opener CR Gnaneshwar early on. After the fall of Jyothi Sai Krishna, it was all about the Madhya Pradesh bowlers who ran through the Andhra side as they bundled them out for 132 in the first innings. Ishwar Pandey picked up 4 wickets as Kartikeya and Yadav picked 3 wickets each.

The Andhra bowler Girinath Reddy had other plans when the Madhya Pradesh batsmen came out to bat. The 20-year-old pacer ripped past the Madhya Pradesh batsmen to pick up 6 wickets. The MP team seemed to have no reply to his spell as they were all out in 35.5 overs at the score of 91. The captain, Naman Ojha top-scored for the MP side with 30 runs but couldn't prevent his side from conceding the first innings follow on of 41 runs.

The game was equally poised with Andhra taking the first innings lead of 41 runs. The openers got Andhra off to a great start as they put on 73 runs for the first wicket. After the fall of the openers, the Andhra side kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Karan Shinde held his side and scored an unbeaten 103 runs to take his side to a total of 301. Ishwar Pandey once again was the pick of the bowlers with 3 wickets. Shine's innings set Madhya Pradesh the total of 343 to chase.

What lied ahead was something no one could imagine. The MP side was reeling at 19 for 3 after losing their skipper for 1 run. Their young opener, Aryaman Birla also departed for 12 runs with the score at 35 for 4. After the fall of Birla's wicket, no batsman could manage to score a single run as the duo of Paidikalva Vijaykumar and KV Sasikanth took the remaining 5 wickets with the MP player Gaurav Yadav absent hurt. It took the Andhra bowlers 16.5 overs to bundle out the Madhya Pradesh side for 35 runs and take their side to a massive 307 run win. Sasikanth picked up 6 wickets to take Andhra to a famous win. This win also took Andhra to the second position in the table with 23 points.
