Aaron Finch pleads with Virat Kohli on Twitter for sake of other batsmen
Following Wednesday’s blitzkrieg at the IPL, Virat Kohli has four T20 centuries in this calendar year to his name, an unmatched feat. He is also the highest run-getter in IPL history from Wednesday onwards. He is in such regal form that he can easily be called the best batsman in the world right now.
Like once Sachin Tendulkar was seen as the master of batting, the title is now on the venerable head of yet another Indian, Virat Kohli.
Like many others around the world, Australian batsman Aaron Finch saw Kohli’s insane batting against a hapless KXIP attack with amazement. He tweeted a message to him in jest, but what is important to note is that this is something that can be said to him in all seriousness as well.
Kohli has recently displaced Finch as the No.1 batsman in T20 rankings. Virat Kohli is indeed batting at a level far removed from all other batsmen. It is to be seen how long this form can be sustained. No record seems too difficult to break right now.
