ACC Premier League: Nepal lose to Oman
Nepal lost to Oman by two wickets on day 3 of the ongoing ACC Premier League at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Winning the toss, Oman sent Nepal to bat first. Batting first, Nepal were 156 all out in 45 overs. The Nepali batsmen failed to cope with the spinners of Oman. The only notable contribution from the Nepalese batting line-up came from vice-captain Gyanendra Malla who scored 26 and opener Naresh Budaayer scoring 23 runs. A. Oman, a surprise package at the ACC Premier League, achieved the target of 157 losing 8 of its wickets in 47.3 overs to maintain its 100% win record in the tournament.
In other matches of day 3, Malaysia defeated Afghanistan by 3 wickets while UAE beat Hong Kong by 2 wickets.
Despite the defeat, Nepal’s second position in the points table has remained unchanged with the unbeaten Oman at the top of the table.
