Adam Gilchrist explains why he is missing from the All-Stars action

Adam Gilchrist, who tormented the best of bowlers during his time, is missing out on this year’s All-Stars tournament

Adam Gilchrist, the former Aussie explosive wicket keeper-batsman and by far one of the most destructive batsmen in the world, has come out on Twitter to state that he could not make time for the All-Stars event which is taking place in the United States.

The first match which took place in the CITI Field in New York saw Warne’s Warriors win the tie against Sachin’s Blasters. The initiative started by Sachin and Warne to promote cricket in America has over 30 ‘All Stars’ from various countries, but fans were certainly missing a few other stars who couldn’t make it this year. He also replied to Herschelle Gibbs on Twitter, who is also missing out this year.

There were a lot of calls from fans as to how Brett Lee, Shane Bond, Adam Gilchrist and Rahul Dravid did not make the cut. Gilly took to Twitter replying to a fan saying that he was invited for the inaugural All-stars season but wasn’t available on the dates for the matches.

The swashbuckling Aussie who took apart opponents with ease is being hugely missed by fans this year, and will certainly look to make up next year for missing out this time.
