Must watch: Longer GoPro view of Adam Gilchrist at Lord's shows this is the technology cricket needs
It’s a beautiful amalgamation of technology and tradition. Lord’s bicentenary celebrations witnessed a match between MCC’s XI and Rest of the World XI, as many previous generation legends came together in a fantastic gathering in London.
Adam Gilchrist, who eventually captained ROW in absence of an injured Shane Warne, wore a GoPro camera on his helmet when he came out to bat first. Lord’s released a teaser of the video earlier (Watch it here).
Now the good souls at the home of cricket have released an over 4-minute video which shows Gilchrist batting at Lord’s. Apart from giving the thrilling first person view, it also records Gilly’s reactions and chats with other players on the field. You can’t miss the moments when he asks Sehwag about Umar Gul, and what to expect from him. It also features Sachin Tendulkar and Brett Lee, along with Rahul Dravid, giving advice on how to face Saeed Ajmal, who eventually got the Aussie stumped!
You simply cannot miss this!
Thank god for technology!
